Abrasive Screen Specifications - Mesh Comparison Table
Abrasive sieve specifications | Mesh comparison table
Standard mesh number:
1. Mesh refers to the number of empty holes on the sieve per square inch. 50 mesh means 50 holes per square inch, and 500 mesh means 500 holes. The higher the mesh number, the more holes. In addition to indicating the holes of the sieve, it is also used to indicate the particle size of particles that can pass through the sieve. The higher the mesh number, the smaller the particle size. The standard sieve needs to be used with a standard vibrating sieve machine to accurately measure 2. The size of powder particles is called particle size. Due to the complex shape of particles, there are usually several ways to express it, such as screening particle size, sedimentation particle size, equivalent volume particle size, and equivalent surface area particle size. The screening particle size is the size of the sieve holes that the particles can pass through the sieve , which is expressed by the number of sieve holes in a sieve with a width of 1 inch (25.4mm), so it is called "mesh number". At present, there is no unified technical standard for powder particle size at home and abroad, and each company has its own definition and expression method of particle size indicators. There are different standards for sieve specifications in different countries and industries, so the meaning of "mesh" is difficult to unify. At present, the international comparison uses the calculated diameter of equivalent volume particles to express the particle size. It is expressed in μm or mm.
Abrasive Screen Overview:
Wire mesh mainly includes screens for solid particle screening, filters for fluid (gas, liquid) filtration, as well as decoration, dust prevention, skeleton support, etc. For screens used for solid particle screening, it means that the screens are installed in layers on the vibrating screen (linear screen or rotary vibrating screen), and the materials are loaded into the vibrating screen to vibrate on the screen. The materials with smaller mesh than the mesh of the screen enter the lower screen for further screening, and the materials with smaller mesh than the mesh of the lower screen continue to leak, while the materials with larger mesh than the mesh remain, and finally come out from the discharge port. We can get the materials with larger mesh than the upper screen and smaller mesh than the lower screen with the particle size we need. The screen plays a role in controlling the particle size of the material in material screening. Generally, the mesh size of the screen is indicated by the mesh number. The mesh number refers to how many holes or wires there are in 1 inch (25.4 mm long). After the mesh number is determined, the thickness of the wire determines the size of the hole, so the mesh size of the same mesh number may be different. The mesh produced by our company is marked in microns according to the mesh size/wire diameter. It is produced according to GB5330-2003 and can also be produced according to GB6003.1-1997 . Among all the materials that need to be screened, abrasives have the most stringent requirements on the mesh size and strength of the mesh. Our factory has been producing abrasive mesh for a long time and has a good reputation in the abrasive industry in the Central Plains. The mesh is marked with mesh size/wire diameter, and the smallest unit of marking is microns.
Abrasive mesh is mainly applicable to the following industries :
