Practical application examples of wire mesh demister

The wire mesh demister is mainly composed of a wire mesh, a wire mesh grid to form a wire mesh block and a supporting device to fix the wire mesh block. The wire mesh is a gas-liquid filter mesh made of various materials , and the gas-liquid filter mesh is composed of metal wire or non-metal wire. The non-metallic wire of the gas-liquid filter mesh is twisted from multiple strands of non-metallic fibers, or it can be a single strand of non-metallic wire such as PP polypropylene and PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene and other engineering plastics, or a mixed gas-liquid filter mesh such as metal mixed with polypropylene or polytetrafluoroethylene and other engineering plastics, metal mixed with various fiber lines, etc.

Wire mesh demister : In the chemical process, the gas of various gas-liquid contact equipment often carries a lot of droplets when leaving the equipment, such as tower equipment, evaporator, etc. It is generally required to separate the droplets entrained in the gas to avoid affecting the quality of the gas or the operation of the next process. The mechanisms for separating droplets or mist from gas include gravity drop, inertial collision, centrifugal separation, diffusion deposition of Brownian motion and electrostatic attraction. Wire mesh demister is a typical product of inertial collision mist removal and is a high-efficiency gas-liquid separation equipment. It has the characteristics of high efficiency in mist removal, foam removal, steam, oil and gas removal, simple structure, large porosity, small pressure drop, light weight, easy installation, operation and maintenance. When the gas passes through the wire mesh demister from bottom to top, due to the inertial action, it collides with the surface of the wire mesh, and the mist gathers and expands on the surface of the filament. When the gravity generated by the weight of the growing droplets exceeds the combined force of the gas velocity and the tension of the liquid surface, the droplets fall. It is commonly used in towers, pressure vessels , evaporators and separators in industry.

Examples of wire mesh demister applications:

1. Vacuum distillation tower in oil refinery. Wire mesh demister allows operation at higher flow rate and improves the quality of oil and gas when deeply cutting atmospheric heavy oil.

2. Absorption tower. The wire mesh demister can completely and thoroughly remove all kinds of mist - absorb oil, ethylene glycol and amine solution to obtain clean and dry gas.

3. Evaporator. The wire mesh demister can avoid the loss of valuable products by entrainment and produce high quality condensate (water) suitable for boiler feed water or use in production process.

4. Distillation tower. Using wire mesh demister to process vegetable oil, tall oil, fatty acid, glycerine, lubricating oil, mineral oil and extract propane from asphalt, organic intermediates, refined chemicals, etc. can improve product performance.

5. Dust collector. The wire mesh demister has the same significant dust removal effect as the wet dust collector.

6. Electronic shielding pad. If the wire mesh demister is used as a pad for electrical parts, it can completely prevent radio interference. 7. Buffer. The use of wire mesh demister as a buffer will help reduce vibration and keep other mechanical equipment in a completely stable state.

The gas-liquid filter screen and supporting device used in making wire mesh demister are all produced by our factory in accordance with the HG/T21618-1998 wire mesh demister standard of the Ministry of Chemical Industry (the thickness and density of the demister can also be produced according to the needs of users).
