Introduction to Incoloy wire mesh Materials, Characteristics and Applications

Incoloy wire mesh is also known as Incoloy alloy filter mesh, Incoloy metal mesh, Incoloy woven mesh, Incoloy square hole mesh, Incoloy screen, etc.

Types of Incoloy wire mesh: Incoloy welded mesh, Incoloy mesh belt, Incoloy crimped mesh, Incoloy punching plate, Incoloy hexagonal mesh, Incoloy protective mesh, Incoloy knitted mesh, Incoloy wire mesh demister, Incoloy wire mesh corrugated packing, Incoloy crimped mesh, Incoloy square hole screen, Incoloy filter, Incoloy diamond mesh, Incoloy mine screen, Incoloy filter, etc.

Types of Incoloy Alloys

Incoloy 800 Series Alloys:The 800 series of Incoloy alloys is composed primarily of nickel and chromium, with small amounts of iron, aluminum, and titanium added for additional strength and corrosion resistance. These alloys have exceptional oxidation resistance up to temperatures as high as 1,200°F (650°C). As such, they are often used in more demanding industrial applications such as heat exchangers, turbine components, furnace parts, and chemical processing equipment.

Incoloy 800H/HT Alloys:Incoloy 800H/HT (heat resistant) alloys are designed to offer even greater oxidation resistance than the standard 800 series due to the addition of aluminum and titanium. This makes them ideal for use in applications where temperatures can exceed 1,200°F (650°C), such as power generation plants and petrochemical refineries. Additionally, these alloys also offer excellent resistance to carburization and nitriding processes that can cause embrittlement or surface hardening in some metals.

Incoloy 825 Alloys:The 825 series of Incoloy alloys is composed primarily of nickel and chromium with small amounts of molybdenum, copper, and aluminum added for improved corrosion resistance. These alloys have excellent pitting corrosion resistance due to their higher molybdenum content compared to other Incoloy grades. They also have good weldability for ease of fabrication in many industries including oil & gas production facilities, nuclear power plants, marine vessels, waste water treatment plants, pharmaceutical manufacturing plants etc.

The Chromium content in the INCOLOY 800 alloy is typically 15 to 25%, the nickel content is 30 to 45%, and it contains small amounts of aluminum and titanium. 800 alloy is in austenite single item zone after fast cooling from high temperature, therefore, the use state is a single austenite tissue. The alloy has high chromium content and nickel content, so it has high high temperature corrosion resistance and is widely used in industry. In chloride, low concentration NaOH aqueous solution and high temperature and high pressure water, it has stress corrosion resistance, so it is used to manufacture stress corrosion resistance equipment.

Features of INCOLOY Alloy 800:

High temperature strength;

High creep fracture strength;

Resistance to oxidation and carburization at high temperature;

Good corrosion resistance in many acidic environments;

It is well tolerated to many sulfur-containing atmospheres.

INCOLO Alloy 825 is a titanium-stabilized fully austenitic Ni-Fe-Cr alloy with added copper and molybdenum. Incoloy 825 is a versatile engineering alloy with acid and alkali metal corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments.

The most outstanding feature of INCOLOY Alloy 825 is excellent corrosion resistance. In both oxidizing and reducing environments, alloy 825 resists to general corrosion, pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, inter-granular corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. INCOLOY alloy 825 especially suitable for the environments of sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, Sulfur-containing flue gas, acidic gas and oil well as well as seawater.

Features of INCOLOY Alloy 825:

1. Good stress corrosion cracking resistance;

2. Good resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion;

3. Good oxidation resistance and non-oxidation thermal acid;

4. It has good mechanical properties at room temperature and up to 550°C;

5. Certified to manufacture pressure vessels with temperatures up to 450°C.
