Introduction to the types, specifications and models of HG5 series wire mesh demisters
Types, structures and safety instructions of HG5 series wire mesh demisters
1. Types of wire mesh demisters
Wire mesh demisters are available in the following types: riser type, reduced diameter type and full diameter type
1. Riser type (HG5-1404-81)
The mesh of the wire mesh demister is installed at the lower end of the riser at the top of the equipment.
2. Reduced diameter type (HG5-1404-81)
When the mesh block diameter of the designed wire mesh demister is smaller than the diameter of the equipment cylinder, an additional short section is required to install the mesh block.
3. Full diameter type (HG5-1404-81)
When the mesh block diameter of the designed wire mesh demister is equal to the diameter of the equipment cylinder, the mesh block is directly installed in the cylinder.
2. Mesh block structure
There are two types of mesh block structures for wire mesh demisters: disc-shaped mesh blocks and strip-shaped mesh blocks.
1. The disc mesh block
is made of wire mesh rolled into a mesh block with the required diameter. The thickness of the mesh block is equal to the width specification of the wire mesh. This mesh block makes full use of the wire mesh material and there is no expected loss at the corners. However, when rolling, each circle must be rolled with the same density, otherwise it is easy to cause short circuits and affect the defoaming effect. Disc mesh blocks should not be made by hand, and mechanical rolling should be used to ensure the quality of rolling. Disc mesh blocks are only suitable for wire mesh demisters with smaller diameters. This standard product is used for Dg300-600mm
2. Strip mesh blocks
Strip mesh blocks are the most commonly used structure at present. It is made by laying the wire mesh layer by layer to the specified number of layers, and then placing a grid on the top and bottom of the mesh layer, and then pressing the mesh layer to the required thickness, and using distance rods and hooks to make it a whole piece. The shape and size of the strip mesh block vary with the nominal diameter and the number of blocks.
3. Mesh block installation
When installing the mesh block, there are two situations: from top to bottom and from bottom to top. Therefore, the wire mesh demister has two structures: top-mounted and bottom-mounted. When the inlet hole is opened on the top of the wire mesh demister, or there is no manhole but an equipment flange, a top-mounted wire mesh demister is selected; when the manhole is opened on the bottom of the wire mesh demister, a bottom-mounted wire mesh demister is selected.
