1. The new national standard for stainless steel includes the following six standards:
◆ GB/T20878-2009 "Stainless steel and heat-resistant steel grades and chemical composition"
◆ GB/T1220-2009 "Stainless steel bars" ◆ GB/
T1221-2009 "Heat-resistant steel bars"
◆ GB/T3280-2009 "Stainless steel cold-rolled steel plates and strips"
◆ GB/T4237-2009 "Stainless steel hot-rolled steel plates and strips"
◆ GB/T4238-2009 "Heat-resistant steel plates and strips"
◆ The new national standard for stainless steel was issued by the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the State Administration of Standardization on March 9, 2009 and implemented on January 1, 2009.

2. The significance of implementing the new standard
◆ The 2009 version of the standard refers to the most advanced standards in the world, and has undergone major changes from the numbering format to the technical indicators, meeting the requirements of world economic integration and eliminating technical barriers for stainless steel to enter the international market.
◆ The new standard adopts the international standard for dimensional tolerance, the American Material Association standard for technical conditions, and the European EN standard in some places. Our new standard has reached the same level as the world's most advanced standards. We use steel plates more scientifically, and the actual objects are closer to the nominal size.
◆ The new standard adds the characteristics and uses of stainless steel, so that we can choose materials more reasonably during design and procurement, and use different grades of steel for different purposes, without the so-called "conforming to the standard but not suitable for use" incident. When purchasing, we first select materials to "match the goods to the user" and not just drill on the price.
