Wire mesh is also known as wire woven mesh, wire screen, steel mesh, wire vibrating screen, wire filter.
Wire mesh is a general term for mesh materials woven or welded with low-carbon steel wire, medium-carbon steel wire, high-carbon steel wire, stainless steel wire and other materials. Wire

The production processes include: ordinary weaving type, embossed weaving type and spot welding type. It is mainly made of steel wire as raw material and processed into a mesh by professional equipment, so it is called wire mesh.

Wire Mesh Specifications and Standards
National standards have certain requirements for the specifications of wire mesh. The diameter should match the mesh size, not just the diameter. For the plaster layer, the mesh should not be larger than 20×20, and the diameter should not be less than 1mm. Choosing the diameter alone does not make much sense. Which is better, 40×40×0.9 or 10×10×0.6 wire mesh? I'm afraid it should be 10×10×0.6. The role of wire mesh in exterior wall plastering is mainly a measure to prevent falling off from a safety perspective. It has a relatively small effect on anti-cracking because of the location problem. For the external insulation system, it is used on the facing brick surface. As for the role, it should first prevent falling off and secondly anti-cracking. In this case, a mesh of 10×10×0.6 should be selected. These are some empirical choices. The conversion of the mesh comes from the specifications of the wire mesh stipulated by the state, and the grade of steel content is used for conversion.

The indicators of wire mesh include mesh size, wire diameter, steel content per square meter, galvanizing amount, etc., mainly considering the corrosion resistance of wire mesh and the safety of the system!
Galvanizing of steel mesh is more critical than wire diameter. The galvanizing amount is very important. It must be hot-dip galvanized. It is better to weld first and then galvanize than to galvanize first and then weld. As for the wire diameter, considering the on-site construction and meeting the needs of safety, 0.6-0.7 is better.

Uses of wire mesh
Wire mesh is widely used for guardrails, decorations, and mechanical protection in exhibitions, sample racks, industry, agriculture, construction, traffic guardrails, mining, stadium fences, lawns, breeding, and other industries. Ordinary mesh is used in the construction industry as Shule board mesh and partition mesh, and is an indispensable material for high-rise new buildings. External wall insulation mesh is mainly used for general building exterior walls, cast-in-place concrete, etc. It plays an important structural role in the insulation system. During construction, the hot-dip galvanized wire mesh polystyrene board is placed on the inner side of the exterior wall mold to be poured. The external insulation board and the wall are formed at one time. After the mold is removed, the insulation board and the wall are combined into one, thus saving manpower, time, and installation costs. The selected hot-dip galvanized wire mesh polystyrene board is large, light, and easy to construct. The exterior finish can be used for facing bricks, which is simple to operate and can be constructed in winter.
