Marking characteristics and product features of four commonly used wire mesh demisters
⒈ HG5-1404 (1405, 1406)-81
Standard types include ascending pipe type (1404), reduced diameter type (1405) and full diameter type (1406). The diameter of the demister ranges from 300mm to 6400mm, with two heights of 100mm and 150mm. When ordering, only the drawing number and the material used need to be provided. Marking example: HG5-1406-81-11, 304/Q235A
That means the wire mesh is made of 304 stainless steel, the grille is made of Q235A full-diameter top-mounted, the wire mesh demister is 1600mm in diameter and 100mm in height .
⒉ HG/T21618-1998
The new standard combines the three installation forms of riser type, reduced diameter type and full diameter type; proposes four mesh types of SP, HP, DP and HR and expands the types of material selection; and increases the spacing density in setting specifications and sizes.
Marking example: HG/T21618 Wire mesh demister S1600-100 SP 304/304
That means the grille and wire mesh are made of 304 stainless steel, top mounted, with a diameter of 1600mm and a height of 100mm, and the mesh type is SP's wire mesh demister.
3. HG/T21586-98 ( Drawer-type wire mesh demister )
This standard is mainly applicable to occasions where the demister components need to be cleaned or replaced, such as the drying tower and absorption tower of the sulfuric acid device. The nominal diameter range is DN300mm~DN5000mm, with a total of 56 types. When ordering, you only need to provide the drawing number and the selected material (among which 316L, NS-80 and RS-2 are the screen materials selected for sulfuric acid devices).
Marking example: HG/T21586.11-98 WME-1600-100 NS-80/Q235A
That means the wire mesh is NS-80, the grille is Q235A, the diameter is 1600mm, and the height is 100mm, which is a drawer-type wire mesh demister.
4. Waveform (flow-guiding) wire mesh demister
The corrugated demister has the following features:
The gas flows through the gas path and the liquid flows through the liquid path, which basically eliminates the secondary entrainment phenomenon and significantly improves the defoaming effect.
Due to the tilt of the mesh block, the actual defoaming area is increased by 15%, which makes it easier to adjust the airflow, speed, resistance and defoaming effect during design.
Using one layer of corrugated demister can achieve the defoaming effect of two layers of wire mesh demisters, saving installation space and reducing the cost of a single tower demister.
