What is a drawer-type wire mesh demister?
Drawer type wire mesh demister has been used in many domestic sulfuric acid plantssince 1993 and has achieved good results. In order to further promote the application of this demister , the Chemical Engineering Design Technology Center organized the preparation of HG/T 21586-98 Drawer type wire mesh demister .

Application scope of drawer type wire mesh demister
1. Drawer type wire mesh demister is a gas-liquid separation device used to remove mist entrained by gas. It is suitable for chemical, petrochemical, light industry, metallurgy, environmental protection and other industries.
2. The drawer-type wire mesh demister can be installed in the tower or on the top of the tower, and can also be used as an independent gas-liquid separation device. According to the defoaming requirements, one or two layers of demister elements can be set in the drawer-type wire mesh demister. It is suitable for occasions where the defoaming elements need to be cleaned, repaired or replaced frequently.
3. The applicable pressure for the drawer-type wire mesh demister is normal pressure.
Applicable temperature range: stainless steel ≤ 400℃; carbon steel ≤ 300℃.
4. The material of the drawer-type wire mesh demister is:

5. The applicable gas velocity range of the drawer-type wire mesh demister (measured by the effective cross-sectional area of the gas passing through the demister) is 2.5~4.5m/s; the suitable gas velocity for the sulfuric acid industry is 3~4m/s. The particle size of the mist in the gas is >5μm, and the mist concentration is ≤100g/m3. For the sulfuric acid industry, when the gas velocity is 3.2m/s and the mist particle size is >5μm, the defoaming efficiency is >98%.
The drawer-type HG/T21586-1998 wire mesh demister is mainly composed of a rectangular strip wire mesh block composed of wire mesh and wire mesh grille to replace the original round mesh block. When in use, only one or more disassembly ports need to be set on the outside of the tower body, and the strip wire mesh block can be directly inserted along the guide rail (for easy removal during maintenance).
The drawer-type wire mesh demister has the following advantages: maintenance personnel do not need to enter the tower body during maintenance, avoiding working under harsh conditions. They only need to pull out the drawer-type wire mesh demister components along the guide rails, and clean, repair or replace the demister accessories on the platform.
