  • Introduction to types, models, standards and applications of wire mesh demisters

Wire mesh demister is also known as wire mesh demister, stainless steel wire mesh demister, demister filter.Wire mesh demister types, models, standards and application introduction Wire mesh demister is also known as wire mesh demister, stainless steel wire mesh demister, demister filter. Wire mesh demister is a gas-liquid separation device. The gas passes through the wire pad of the demister to remove the entrained mist. This standard (HG/T21618-1998) is based on the original standards of the Ministry of Chemical Industry: HG5-1404-81, HG5-1405-81 and HG5-1406-81, and is revised in combination with the actual use experience of wire mesh demisters and the advanced technology of the introduced devices. Classification of wire mesh demisters: metal wire mesh demisters, plastic wire mesh demisters, pp wire mesh demisters, drawer-type wire mesh demisters, inlaid wire mesh demisters, top-mounted wire mesh demisters, bottom-mounted wire mesh demisters, etc. Wave-type wire mesh demisters are also known as wave-type demisters and corrugated demisters. In addition to meeting the new standard HG/T21618-1998 and integrating the characteristics of HG5-1404-81, HG5-1405-81, and HG5-1406-81 wire mesh demisters, it has unique advantages and characteristics: 1. The defoaming effect of the wire mesh demister is significantly improved, with gas going through the gas path and liquid going through the liquid path, without secondary entrainment. 2. The mesh block is tilted at 45 degrees, the filtration area is increased by 15%, and the airflow direction and speed can be adjusted to achieve efficient defoaming. 3. The 4-10mm deep corrugated embossing has the filtration efficiency of 2 layers in one layer, which saves installation space and reduces the cost of a single tower demister. The wire mesh demister is mainly composed of a wire mesh, a wire mesh grid to form a wire mesh block, and a supporting device to fix the wire mesh block. The wire mesh is a gas-liquid filter mesh made of various materials, and the gas-liquid filter mesh is composed of metal wire or non-metal wire. The non-metallic wire of the gas-liquid filter mesh is twisted from multiple strands of non-metallic fibers, and can also be a single strand of non-metallic wire. The wire mesh demister can not only filter out larger liquid foam suspended in the airflow, but also filter out smaller and tiny liquid foam. It is widely used in gas-liquid separation devices in chemical, petroleum, tower manufacturing, pressure vessels and other industries. Purpose of wire mesh demister Wire mesh demister (demister) is used to separate the droplets entrained by the gas in the tower to ensure mass transfer efficiency, reduce the loss of valuable materials and improve the operation of the compressor after the tower. Generally, a wire mesh demister is installed on the top of the tower. It can effectively remove droplets of 3--5um. If a demister is installed between the tower plates, it can not only ensure the mass transfer efficiency of the tower plates, but also reduce the distance between the plates. Therefore, the wire mesh demister is mainly used for gas-liquid separation. It can also be used as an air filter for gas separation. In addition, the wire mesh can also be used as a buffer for various instruments in the instrument industry to prevent electronic shielding devices from radio wave interference. It is now widely used in industrial production in chemical, petroleum, sulfuric acid, medicine, light industry, metallurgy, machinery, and environmental protection.

  • How is woven wire mesh made?

How is woven wire mesh made? Woven wire mesh is manufactured by weaving strands of stainless steel, Brass, Galvanised steel or Mild steel wires horizontally and vertically together, creating an open weave mesh. The openness of the weave depends on the diameter of the wire, aperture and the pattern that’s woven. The wire is fed through a machine that acts like a loom with the wires bent over and under one another without the need for being welded. The longitudinal or horizontal warp wires are held stationary whilst the vertical or transverse weft wires are woven under and over the warp wire.
